A structure for doctoral candidates: The Otto von Guericke Graduate Academy

After graduation, most search for an optimal entryway into the career world. However, an increasing number of graduates would like to add a further qualification after receiving their master’s degree, have discovered the fun in research during their thesis, or simply hope for a better career with the 'Dr.' title.

Currently the Faculty of Process and Systems Engineering supervises approx. 215 doctoral candidates alone, while there are currently about 1,000 doctoral candidates in Magdeburg, in all fields, from computer science to German studies.
