Klaus Schönert Prize awarded
23.02.2015 -
This year’s Klaus Schönert Prize winner is Michael Trüe, a research associate of the Department Mechanical Process Engineering, who knew how to convince the selection committee with his master thesis on "Acoustic and visual examination of shock events."
In his master thesis shock processes of spherical particles (glass beads, zeolite and γ-Al2O3 granules) were investigated visually by drop tests by means of a high-speed camera and acoustically via a vibration sensor. The results of both measurement methods were compared with one another.
The prize is awarded to students who achieved excellence with their thesis in the field of crushing and grading.
