Excursion to Müllheizkraftwerk (MHKW) Magdeburg-Rothensee
An excursion/industrial visit to MHKW-Rothensee Magdeburg has been organized for the master students of international program master in Chemical and Energy Engineering (CEE) from Faculty of Process and Systems Engineering, OvGU Magdeburg. 11 master students participated in this industrial visit.
The excursion was very informative and happened in a very friendly and well managed environment. Firstly, a presentation including introduction and overview of the industry was presented.
Afterwards, a comprehensive visit of operational plant and working sites was carried out. The organizer has delivered a very good explanation about the different components of the industry. Questions from students were also answered during the operational site visit.
Formation of the DC Wissenstransfer UG
The DC Wissentransfer UG (haftungsbeschränkt), newly founded by the PhD student Christian Fischer (FVST), focuses on establishing new cooperations with Chinese partners in collaboration with the FVST and promotes international study programs of the OvGU to eligible Chinese students. Furthermore we guide Chinese students through formal issues such as dealing with German authorities, Visa-Applications, banking, insurance affairs, enrollment and house hunting.
Dr.-Ing. Teng Zhou awarded by China Scholarship Council
Dr.-Ing. Teng Zhou, researcher in the Process Systems Engineering (PSE) group, has been granted the 2016 Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Students Abroad by the Chinese Scholarship Council for his academic excellence in his Ph.D. studies overseas.
Welcome Seminar for international Students especially of Chemical and Energy Engineering (CEE) and Process Safety and Environmental Engineering (PSEE)
On 08.11.2017, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., there will be a welcome seminar for the CEE and PSEE courses in the Campus Theater.
Stammtisch for FVST Engineers
The next FVST Engineers’ Stammtisch will take place at the Moonlight in Magdeburg, Ernst-Lehmann-Straße 16, on Wednesday, 18 January 2017 starting at 18:30.
