Best Poster Award on the Joint Conference of the 5th UK-China and 13th UK Particle Technology Forum
JProf. Dr.-Ing. Fabian Herz was awarded on 07-13-2015 for the best poster at the Joint Conference of the 5th China-UK and 13th UK Particle Technology Forum. The article entitled "Experimental Determination of the flights Holdup in Flighted Rotary Drums" was published together with Mr. M.Sc. Mohamed Karali (PhD student at JProf. Fabian Herz) and Prof. Eckehard Specht.
The work includes both experimental studies and the development of a mathematical model for transverse motion behavior in rotary drums with constructions.
The research results can be used by plant operators to optimize processes in terms of product quality and energy efficiency and furthermore by plant manufacturer for a safer and more accurate design of the apparatus.
