Three Study Programmes in One - University, University of Applied Sciences, and Institute Cooperate

On 13.05.2015, the Otto-von-Guericke-University, the University of Applied Sciences Magdeburg-Stendal, and the Institute for Fire and Civil Protection signed a cooperative contract. Thus, the co-operative work in the field teaching and research, which has already existed for years, in the area of fire and civil protection will be further expanded.
In particular, with this agreement the Bachelor and Master pogrammes “Safety and Hazard Defence” are to be further developed and designed; a joint study programme offered by the Faculty of Process and Systems Technology and the University of Applied Sciences Magdeburg-Stendal.
The agreement ensures, that the facilities can use one another’s testing equipment and the respective laboratories; additionally, mutual technical assistance for lectures, in addition to supervision of Bachelor’s and Master’s theses, as well as any other projects, is planned.
