Mrs. Juliane Willkomm, research associate at the Chemical Institute, provided information to Markgraf Albrecht High School students and parents during a Career Choice Evening on 02 May 2016 on the study opportunities at the OVGU in general, but of course also specifically on her program “Chemical Engineering: Molecular and Structural Product Design (MSPG)”, which is offered at the Faculty of Process and Systems Engineering.

The Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg’s Faculty of Process and Systems Engineering has a new research associate among its ranks as of the current semester. A french native, Dr.-Ing. Benoit Fond occupies the junior professorship for "Experimental Thermo-Fluid Dynamics" at the Institute of Fluid Dynamics and Thermodynamics.

On the occasion of the German Fire Protection Association's (GFPA) 2016 annual conference, FVST graduate Dr.-Ing. Michael Neske (now of the Institute of Fire and Disaster Protection Heyrothsberge) was granted the GFPA's "Excellence Award".

Heiko Mell, an honorary Professor at the Faculty of Process and Systems Engineering, was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit at the end of April. We would like to warmly congratulate him for this distinction!

On 29 and 30 April 2016 the FVST, specifically the Chemical Process Engineering’s cotton candy machine (special thanks to Luise Borchert for her tireless efforts!) attracted many children to Exhibition Hall 1 at the Elbauenpark with the special scent of cotton candy.
